To improve the treatment and outcomes of the trauma patient through quality continuing education for all providers from the streets to the surgical suites.
OUR VISION
Through the McSwain Charitable Trust, the McSwain Trauma Education Project (MTEP) provides numerous opportunities to deliver quality continuing education by hosting local one-day trauma conferences, monthly on-line Trauma Talks, and sponsored lectureships, among others.
OUR GOAL
To provide comprehensive continuing education for all providers in the treatment of the critically ill and injured, focusing on basic, cutting edge guidelines and technology for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.

LOCAL CONFERENCES
MTEP fully funds local one-day trauma conferences providing national speakers with expertise in topics identified by the local communities. Attendees receive EMS CEUs and are able to network with other trauma-care professionals.
THIRD THURSDAY TRAUMA TALKS
The 3rd Thursday of each month, MTEP hosts a one-hour presentation by experts in the field of trauma. Attendees are able to pay a small fee for one talk or purchase a subscription at a discounted rate.
