Patrick Greiffenstein, MD
Patrick Greiffenstein is a trauma surgeon and Trauma ICU director at the Norman E. McSwain Jr. Spirit of Charity Trauma Center in New Orleans. He is Professor of Surgery at LSU Health Science Center where he also serves as the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship program director. His research interests include hemorrhagic shock, chest wall injury and surgical history. He has been involved with training US Coast Guard Aviation Survival Technicians and Navy Special Warfare Tactical Medics and is currently conducting research examining the effects of CPR in severe hemorrhagic shock.
