Ms. Buraczewski is the Burn Programmatic Nurse Specialist for UPMC Mercy Burn Center. She has been a nurse for over 39 years, with a background in emergency nursing and nursing education- for many years teaching ACLS and PALS, Trauma Course, Critical care course at UPMC Mercy. As the burn programmatic nurse’s specialist for the burn center – She interacts daily with the burn patients in the hospital and those in the outpatient setting. She frequently lectures on burn topics to firemen, pre- hospital providers and community hospitals on burn care. She is an ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support ) instructor and national faculty member.

She is an item writer for the Burn Nurse certification test for the past 3 years. She is an active member of the nursing committee for the ABA- American Burn Association.
